	What MAHC Offers ?

With various kinds of treatments, the centre will offer following programs.

In-Residence Treatment

The day at MAHC starts with Yogic exercise by qualified Yoga Doctor in pleasant and hypnotic atmosphere with singing birds around the place. Every morning brings different pleasant experience to the guest of MAHC.

Patients are served with a balance vegetarian ayurvedic diet as per the instructions of Doctor.

PURVA KARMA (Pre-Treatment)

This is the first step of Panchkarma. The patient has to perform Purva Karma at home or at MAHC according to his/her convenience. A short evaluation of patient’s health is performed by specialized doctors. The pre-treatment is consist of Two Parts: -

	1. SNEHAN (toleration therapy)
	Medicated oils and ghee (clarified butter) are used. The Quantity and Duration of Snehan will be given to patient by doctor after short Evaluation of patient’s health.
	2. VIRECHAN and/or SWEDAN
	VIRECHAN: - use of laxatives. MAHC IS PERFORMING VIRECHAN WITH THE HELP OF ELECROLITE BALANCING PURGATIVE PREPARATION TO ELEMINATE TOXINS FROM BODY WITHOUT CAUSING ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCE. SWEDAN: – Herbal Steam Bath

PANCHAKARMA

Different Karmas like SHIRODHARA, ABHYANG, SWEDAN, NASYA, ANUVASAN BASTI, ASTHAPAN BASTI, MATRA BASTI, KATI BASTI, JANU BASTI, HRADAY BASTI, UDVERTAN etc are performed as per the doctor’s prescription.
These procedures takes about 1 or 1 ½ hours daily in the morning and half hour in the evening.

PASCHATKARMA (Post Panchkarma)

1. SAMSARJAN KARMA: -

During your stay at MAHC you will learn how your current mind/body make-up affects your health, happiness, moods and behavior. Staying healthy is natural and natural means simple and easy. A simple home program that takes just a few minutes a day, combined with the personalized knowledge gained during talk at MAHC in reference with Ayurvedic Basic Principles, will allow you to continue to expand your new sense of well-being. You will find that our approach is without strain, yet extremely powerful in its effectiveness.

On completion of Panchkarma a special diet and instructions are prescribed from Maharshi Atreya Health Centre according to Prakruti (Constitution) and Life style. This diet helps the person to fulfill his/her Calories requirement along with maintaining Doshas according to Ayurveda.

2. RASAYAN: -

It is a special form of Tonification therapy. This is best done after the Panchkarma. Special herbs are used to tone up the various systems of the body. The herbs are selected according to Prakruti and Disease. The duration for Rasayan is decided by experienced physician at Maharshi Atreya Health Centre.
